Precision Landscaping, Inc. is looking to fill multiple permanent, full-time Landscape Crew Leader positions.
Begin/report to work: 9926 Marine City Hwy, Casco, St Clair County, MI 48064. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites.
Additional worksites: (work throughout the following counties/areas): Macomb, MI, Oakland, MI, St. Clair, MI, and areas of Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, MI.
Duties: Oversee a small crew of landscape laborers in order to care for established lawns: mow, weed, trim, edge, clean up litter/debris. Prune, trim, and edge around trees to shape and improve growth using shears or pruners. Follow planned landscape/install plans of turf, sprinklers, and mortarless segmental concrete masonry units. May schedule work for crews, depending on work priorities, crew or equipment availability, or weather conditions. Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained. Assist in training workers in tasks such as landscaping, cultivating lawns, pruning, etc. Assist in the maintenance or repair of equipment, such as power tools or motorized equipment. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axel vehicles, electric clippers, sod cutters, edgers, or pruning saws. Use hand tools, powered equipment, or vehicles to remove snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots, and spread salt in those areas. Christmas light and decoration installation & other related Landscape Crew Leader activities as per SOC/OES 37-1012 (onetonline.org).
Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply.
Terms: Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.). In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338. Employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
Requirements: Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. Must have 6 months Landscape experience. No minimum education requirement. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal.
Wages and Conditions of Employment: $44,658.00/Year up to possible $75,000.00/Year. Wage may vary based on Experience.
