?Logistics Lead
Hours:
Hiring for first shift! Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday and some Saturdays - 8:30am-5pm
Onsite/Field role. Must be willing to local or willing to commute to Plymouth, MI
Must haves:
Completed Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, fleet operations, or supply chain management.
Previous supervisory or management experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
Experience managing carriers, dispatch operations, inventory, and customer service functions.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational results.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Operations
Coordinate and manage shipments from assignment through delivery
Monitor and maintain load boards to ensure timely coverage
Source and secure carrier capacity within established rate guidelines
Maintain accurate shipment status updates within the transportation management system (TMS)
Monitor pickups and deliveries to ensure performance standards are met
Identify shipment delays and service risks proactively
Resolve transportation exceptions and operational issues
Escalate unresolved concerns with documented action steps
Carrier & Customer Service
Serve as primary point of contact for carriers and transportation providers
Build and maintain strong carrier relationships
Provide proactive shipment updates, ETAs, and exception notifications
Partner closely with account management and operations teams
Troubleshoot service issues and coordinate resolutions
Balance carrier needs, customer expectations, and profitability goals
Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
Financial & Administrative
Monitor profitability on assigned shipments
Document carrier rejections and capacity issues
Support operational reporting and data accuracy
Assist with transportation performance tracking

This is a Permanent position based out of Plymouth, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Direct, long term role, salary role, 2 weeks of PTO, extra week of personal time (prorated for the rest of the year), Med, Vision, and dental.
