Design Release Engineer(s) (full-time; multiple openings)
Hinduja Tech, Inc. is in need of a Design Release Engineer(s) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to interface with cross functional team to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements and ensure proper design interfaces with other components, and all requirements are met. Work with other functions and design/releasing teams to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs. Translate Functional Objectives into technical requirements and solutions. Create and analyze alternative design concepts. Integrate system components. Support Benchmarking of competitive vehicles. Maintain core Engineering Design Practices (EDPs). Implement innovation roadmaps as well as coordinate the advancement of new technologies and procedures to improve program timing. Define Customer interface requirements. Own and update Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), ensuring functional objectives, guidelines, and corporate requirements are met. Harmonization and quality improvement activities. Cost value analysis. Develop timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables. Manage Tier I suppliers and software releases and/or hardware designs to meet program timing and deliverables.
Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus two (2) years of automotive engineering experience as an Automotive Engineer, Design Release Engineer, Systems Engineer, Engineer, or related position. The two (2) years of automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor’s Degree automotive engineering experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor's Degree automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Frequency of travel approximately 10% per year. International travel is not required. Domestic travel and relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States required as needed based on Hinduja Tech Inc. business needs. Incidental telecommuting may apply. EOE.
