The Barry County Road Commission is seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented professional to serve as Finance Director. This position oversees the financial operations of the Road Commission, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, tax and audit coordination, internal controls, and financial forecasting.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management, excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with management, Board members, employees, vendors, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with five (5) or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
