Position Summary:
Supports university fundraising through prospect research, database management, prospect and portfolio management, and gifts management.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience equivalent to four years.

One year of professional experience, preferably in higher education or a related field.

Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
-
Ability to work effectively with individuals with different work styles.
Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of higher education and college environments.

Knowledge of online research resources and search engines.

Experience with Raiser's Edge.
-
Knowledge of donor types and fundraising cycles, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Awareness of higher education fundraising strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Research publicly available biographical, organizational, and financial information and prepare confidential prospect profiles.

Identify major gift prospects through publications and online resources.
-
Monitor publications for information on current and potential prospects.
-
Maintain prospect and contact information in the university database.

Work with fundraisers to review contact reports, portfolios, and prospect information.

Assist with prospect tracking and management.

Generate and update reports for development fundraising staff.

Assist with agendas and materials for prospect strategy meetings.

Participate in professional development related to prospect research, management, and advancement.

Perform other duties as assigned.
