Caregiver - Rochester Hills, MI
CareOne Senior Care is seeking a dependable and compassionate caregiver for a consistent full-time assignment in Rochester Hills. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing one-on-one support, building a positive relationship with a client, and maintaining a consistent daily routine.
Schedule
Monday-Friday: 11:00 AM-8:00 PM
Saturday-Sunday: 11:00 AM-7:00 PM
Consistent hours are available for reliable caregivers who can commit to the schedule.
Position Overview
The caregiver will provide non-medical in-home support to a client who benefits from a calm, structured routine. The client is relatively independent but needs assistance with daily activities, household tasks, transportation, and companionship.
Responsibilities
Provide companionship and social engagement
Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
Prepare meals and assist with meal preparation as needed
Provide medication reminders according to the care plan
Drive the client using the client's vehicle
Assist with errands and appointments
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Provide support with daily routines and activities
Communicate appropriately with the client, family, and CareOne Senior Care team
Document care provided according to company requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver's license required
Must be comfortable driving the client's vehicle
Clean driving record preferred
Reliable transportation to and from the client's home
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to remain active throughout the shift and perform the essential duties of the position
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must successfully complete a background check
Current TB test or willingness to complete one
Reliable phone for communication and scheduling
Previous caregiving or home care experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
$14-$17 per hour
Select specialty cases may pay up to $20 per hour
Next-day pay option available
$150 caregiver referral bonus
Mileage reimbursement for qualifying client-related transportation
