40 hours/week plus overtime | Full-time
We're a concrete and excavation contractor doing municipal work — sidewalks, curb and gutter, ADA ramps, road patching, and excavation. We are not a trucking company. This is a construction job that requires a Class A CDL.
What the job actually is
You'll haul material and equipment to and from job sites — aggregate, spoils, concrete, machinery on the trailer. But when the truck is parked, you're on the crew. That means grading, setting forms, shoveling, running a plate compactor, flagging, and whatever else the day calls for.
Requirements
- Valid CDL, Class A, with a driving record that meets company and insurance requirements
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift). Our trucks are manual. If your CDL has an "E" restriction (No Manual Transmission), you are not eligible for this position.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be available to work weekends as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential — our crews can't start without the truck
- Follow all safety requirements on site, no exceptions
- Ability to safely haul equipment using a trailer
- Ability and willingness to follow all company and jobsite safety requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a crew
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
- 2+ years of experience preferred, but not required — we'll train the right person who has the required CDL, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
