GENERAL SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to collect and record tax payments and verify and balance monies deposited from County departments. Collects, computes, and responds to inquiries regarding delinquent taxes, payments, and forfeiture/foreclosure procedures. Monitors paper inventory supplies and orders supplies of department material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Helps community members resolve delinquent payments and other financial obligations, such as tax clearances on warranty deeds. Assists in processing land split certifications and master of deeds.
Reviews, processes, and enters invoices and tax payments in appropriate systems for payment.
Processes deposits from County departments and verifies and balances accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assists vendors, agencies, and citizens with tax payoff and foreclosure/forfeiture process matters via email, phone, and mail.
Provides administrative support, including managing inventory of paper supplies, ordering business cards, and printing letterheads.
Performs related work as required.

Additional Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma (or GED equivalent).
1 to 3 years of related work experience in accounting, finance, and customer service.
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
