Henry Ford Health - Jacksonis actively seeking full-time clinical psychiatrists to work within our dynamic and expanding Behavioral Health Services (BHS). The successful candidate will participate in the clinical, administrative, and teaching aspects of our General Psychiatry Residency Program. They will be an active participant in developing and shaping our interdisciplinary clinical and educational programs across specialty services and levels of care within Henry Ford Health - Jackson BHS; as well as throughout our care continuum, to include across Henry Ford Health - Jackson Primary and Specialty Care services, and the broader community. In addition to a passion for teaching, mentoring and lifelong learning, interest in the emergency psychiatry and collaborative care is particularly welcome.
Clinical activity will reflect an individually negotiated blend of applicant interest/passion and the overall needs of Henry Ford Health - Jackson BHS. We welcome candidates with interest in general ambulatory and/or inpatient psychiatry, as well as geriatric and child and adolescent psychiatry. Currently, we are actively seeking applicants with interest/expertise in behavioral health - emergency department interface. Depending on candidate preference/interest, clinical responsibilities will reflect some combination of outpatient and/or hospital-based clinical activity; delivered via an amalgam of direct face-to-face patient care, precepting/supervision of resident provided care, and possibly collaborative care services. The candidate will participate in various on-call activities, to include scheduled weekend rounding on the inpatient unit and provision of attending back-up to residents and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
The successful candidate will serve as a model of professional and scholarly behavior across their clinical, educational, and administrative duties. In addition to supervision/mentoring of residents and APPs, candidates will be expected to participate in a broad array of scholarly activities, to include providing lectures to residents, medical students, and interdisciplinary learners; participation in Journal Clubs, Evidence-Based Medicine Seminars, and Grand Rounds; the development/creation of scholarly products; and attendance/participation at pertinent local, state, and national professional organizations/meetings.
Additionally, the successful candidate will attend administrative meetings as required by HFAH and BHS, and complete indicated administrative work (e.g., electronic medical record and in-basket monitoring, phone calls, letters, records, e-mails, etc.) in a timely manner. The new faculty member will be expected to participate in and/or lead quality improvement initiatives and activities.

Qualifications -
Applicants must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, possess a current license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan, completed an accredited residency in Psychiatry, and be board certified or eligible (BE/BC) in Psychiatry. Candidates must have shown promise for a career emphasizing clinical care, teaching and/or administration, and a firm commitment to developing superior clinical and teaching skills. An interest in delivery of new and innovative care models is also most welcome.
