This 1099 position is for 30 hours a week at $30 an hour.
Specific Responsibilities
- Promotes the Collaborative's mission within the community.
- Oversees collaboration with other organizations to foster relationships and avoid replication of programming efforts.
- Assesses needs and ensures planning and implementation of environmental ATOD reduction events for individuals, organizations, businesses, and communities.
- Identifies and recommends appropriate programs in collaboration with training staff, outside consultants, and the Collaborative Steering Council.
- Develops relationships with local program directors to foster and develop a pool of alternate resources and avoid replication of services.

- The Collaborative Coordinator is responsible for supervision of Assistant Coordinator.
- Attends all Steering Council
- As time permits, the Collaborative Coordinator should attend and participate in other community groups and activities as deemed appropriate to further the Collaborative's
- Works with the Financial Manager and Collaborative Steering Council to develop annual budget for collaborative activities, track progress to ensure appropriate and efficient use of resources and provide in-kind donation progress reports to the accounting department quarterly.
- Coordinator has the authority to expend funds from approved budgets. In the absence of an approved budget, they can spend up to $500 on MPC- related business without Steering Council
- Schedules team and assistant coordinator meetings as appropriate to communicate and assign responsibilities.
- Performs annual as well as periodic evaluations of the Assistant Coordinator as needed.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Steering Council.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and with minimum of 2 years' administrative and managerial experience required. Master's degree preferred. Prefer proven experience in the development of collaboratives, grant writing, and implementation of educational programs. Must be familiar with ATOD issues; health service delivery; and federal, state, county, and local government. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and team building skills required, along with an interest in working in partnership with administration, staff, volunteers, and elected officials. Experience with federal grant programs generally, and the Drug-Free Communities Support Program specifically, is preferred.
Additional Information
This position may require evening and early morning meetings as well as occasional weekend work.
Ability to travel once a year attending training courses with youth as assigned.
Ability to work independently remotely but will be required to attend local meetings in person.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Must possess a valid driver's license with proof of liability insurance and favorable driving history. Must pass criminal background check prior to start of position.
Stipend and reimbursement for mileage and travel as determined by contract terms.
