Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, and commissioning of automated equipment and systems. This role works cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, project management, and customers to deliver high-performance automation solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop PLC and HMI programs for automated equipment.
Support system integration with customer equipment and existing production lines.
Troubleshoot and debug controls systems during testing and commissioning.
Create and support electrical documentation such as schematics, I/O lists, and wiring diagrams.
Participate in system testing (FAT/SAT) and startup activities.
Ensure systems meet customer requirements, safety standards, and performance expectations.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
PLC Programming from scratch.
Experience with SCADA/HMI systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Expertise in automation and robotics.
Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience in PLC troubleshooting.
Work Environment
The standard work week is typically observed, but occasional travel between 15-25% may be required to support system integrations at customer sites. The role involves working in a collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.

This is a Permanent position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
