Project Management
- Apply project management skills such as stakeholder communication, relationship management, process management, design, quality assurance, and consultative skills in collaboration with faculty, course teams, administrators, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Manage complex project tasks including project scoping, scheduling, communication plans, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure timely execution and consistency of deliverables across CAI's online learning portfolio
- Align diverse perspectives and relationships, including those of faculty partners, external partners and collaborators, CAI colleagues, and other U-M and external stakeholders at a project level
- Ensure projects are in alignment with current copyright and accessibility standards
- Coordinate policy documentation for CAI initiatives in collaboration with the Associate Director of Project Management, including executing Memorandums of Understanding, amendments, and release and/or waiver forms
- Coordinate and manage financial project components, including expense reimbursements and budget management for the online learning portfolio
- Organize and build project elements into various platforms and learning management systems
Supervision, Leadership, and Initiative Management
- Provide supervision and coaching of direct reports on the Project Management Team by ensuring consistency in processes, providing oversight of workload, communication of role expectations and regular feedback on individual performance, including co-developing and supporting goals and individual assessments in the annual performance review process
- Hire and supervise students for individual projects in consultation with faculty and school/college administration
- Lead planning and implementation of important Online Learning Domain and Project Management Team initiatives through facilitation of working groups, development of process roadmaps, and stewardship of current initiatives
- Develop training materials for managed initiatives to be shared widely across the Project Management and CAI teams
- Bachelor's degree and four or more years of project management experience
- Two or more years of supervisory experience, including assigning project work, coaching direct reports, and performance management responsibilities
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and Trello
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides or a similar cloud-based productivity solution
- Familiarity with online learning courses and programs, open educational resources, and learning management systems such as Coursera, edX, FutureLearn, and Canvas
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills demonstrated in interactions with senior level professionals
- Ability to manage workload under constraining timelines with competing priorities
- Excellent critical thinking and adaptability skills within a consultative environment
- Proven ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders with a collaborative and customer focused mindset
- Strong commitment to exemplary service, problem solving, teamwork in a multicultural setting, and the ability to act independently
- Ability to learn and appropriately use new technologies to improve processes, communication, and outcomes, including AI-enabled tools where relevant to the role, consistent with university policy and job responsibilities
The mode of work for this position is Hybrid with a minimum of 4 days in the office per week, Monday through Thursday, with an option of remote work on Fridays. On occasion, you may be required and must be available to work onsite on Fridays if necessitated by our center's policy and domain leadership or by your job requirements.
This is a 5 year term-limited position with the possibility of renewal depending on funding. The position may be renewed or converted into an open-ended base appointment.

The salary for this position will be based upon the selected candidate's education and experience.
