Responsible for designing and developing embedded software for quality mechatronic products within agreed timescales and budgets according to company procedures; design and implement embedded standard C software and perform requirements analysis, providing traceability through customer specifications, software units, and test cases; debug software with debuggers and emulators, and conduct problem-solving activities to debug hardware issues during the design phase; analyze hardware component specifications and schematics, as well as provide technical support to manufacturing by creating documentation to be used for reference; use version control software release and variant control of software, and create and run unit tests for owned software modules; participate in code reviews, and carry out integration testing according to technical specifications created by the team; utilize CANoe, CANalyzer, Autosar, Agile, ASPICE, ISO 26262, Embedded C, DOORS, and Jira to perform duties; investigate and provide engineering support, and address customer questions and complaints, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction while creating and adapting product and system architectures, maximizing feasibility; develop tools to assist team members with products, processes, and tools; use team lead master schedules to determine software activities; follow the internal SPICE process and templates, including code reviews, work products, and specifications, maximizing quality and feasibility; conduct internal software audits, hold weekly team meetings, and attend customer meetings when needed with the team lead; and ensure customers are clear on product quality and functionality, as well as optimal customer satisfaction.
Location: Troy, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $145,200 per year;

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as an Application Software Developer, as a Software Developer, as a Specialist, or in a related occupation;
