CT Technologist uses computed tomography (X-Ray) equipment to take images of patient's body from different angles. The work of the CT Technologist helps locate internal injuries and diagnose diseases.
- Prepare patients for exams by answering their questions and positioning the patient for minimal radiation exposure.
- Select the appropriate program for desired testing results.
- Perform CT equipment warm-ups and calibrations as required.
- collect patient data as required to perform the test as directed.
- Sterilize and clean the CT equipment according to established standards of care and infection control.
- Responsible for making sure all equipment is safe for use and free of any unhealthy bacteria.
- Manage professionalism in working with patients and demonstrate understanding of patient concerns.
- May be required to prepare patient test results and data for physician accordingly.
Radiologic technician certification, graduation from an accredited program, and one year of experience. Credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Basic Life Support certification.
