Work you'll do
As a Tax Consultant on the Tax team, you will be responsible for :
Researching tax laws, rules, and guidance to support client work.
Assisting with the analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements.
Preparing work products and recommendations for client engagements.
Collaborating with team members to address technical tax matters.
Managing multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications
Required:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027 or have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting , Business Administration, or Taxation or a related/equivalent program
Fluent in English and Japanese
Strong academic track record ( 3.0 cumulative GPA required )
Must meet minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location prior to beginning full-time employment
You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required . You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations
Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
The start date for this position will be Summer 2027 or Winter 2028
Preferred:
Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
Internship, summer position, or school job in accounting, tax, or finance

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $54,160 to $99,600.
