VENTEON & HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS is hiring 10 QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTORS for a short-term project in St. Clair, MI.
You will provide support for a large automotive supplier by performing inspections of incoming and manufactured parts.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Contract position that is expected to last a minimum of 10 weeks. Works starts on Monday, August 24, 2026. Shift begins at 7:00 AM sharp. OT to assist in catching up may be required at the start of the project.
PAY $19.00 - $22.00 per hour based on years of relevant work experience. Overtime at time and one half.
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing quality checks and inspections on manufactured parts, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements. This position works closely with production personnel to identify defects, document inspection results, and help maintain consistent product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform quality checks on incoming materials, work-in-process components, and finished products. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify products meet required specifications and quality standards. Inspect parts for defects, damage, workmanship issues, and other nonconformities. Use basic measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices. Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and product specifications.

Document inspection results accurately and maintain required quality records.

Identify and segregate nonconforming or defective materials and products. Communicate quality concerns to production supervisors, Quality leadership, and other appropriate personnel.

Assist with first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required. Verify proper labeling, packaging, quantities, and product identification.

Follow established quality procedures, inspection plans, and customer requirements. Support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities when quality issues are identified.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous Quality Inspection or manufacturing experience.

Experience performing visual and dimensional inspections is beneficial. Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.

Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.

Basic math and computer skills.

Ability to pass a criminal check and drug screen (No THC).
Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently handle and inspect manufactured parts and components.

Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive inspection activities.

Ability to lift and move materials or parts as required by the position.

Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
Preferred Experience
-
Automotive or manufacturing quality inspection experience. Experience with visual inspection and defect identification. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment. Familiarity with quality documentation and nonconforming material procedures.

Blueprint reading and basic GD&T knowledge are a plus.
