Description:
Upkeep and service of the Electrical equipment used throughout the plant. Maintain and service of all production equipment, controls, MCC, power distribution, and lighting.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance work orders and repair work as requested. Troubleshooting electrical equipment and controls. Perform installation and repairs as needed within code requirements. Run or repair conduit and associated hardware and wiring.
Other responsibilities:
- Adhere to safe work practices
- Assist maintenance and technicians with troubleshooting
- Document and record settings of equipment as needed
- Provide information to operators and mechanics to ensure correct operation and maintenance of equipment
- Attend training as required by the company
- Advise management on best practices/optimization
Qualifications:
- Must be a State of Michigan Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- 2 year of Industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Comprehe1nsion and application of the NEC
- Must be knowledgeable with motors, motor controls, and circuits
- Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs: ability to troubleshoot inputs and outputs
- Basic knowledge of VFDs
- Must have knowledge of lighting and emergency lighting systems
- Must be able to work on a ladder or lift without accommodation
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Ability to use electrical schematics in troubleshooting equipment
