The Cross Carline and Project Engineering Team is a critical part of the vehicle development with responsibly to ensure overall program level feasibility and target setting. The Project Quality Manager oversees quality objectives for the vehicle program, by carrying out the actions and activities necessary for their progress, consolidation, and management. This position will be responsible to assure quality targets are met, as well as ensure team execution of the quality processes from Pre-Contract Commitment through Start of Production and lifecycle.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensures quality customer objectives achievement for the vehicle(s) from concept until mass production.
Produces monthly the synthesis of results obtained as well as an updated forecast on the quality KPI for the overall program and milestones.
Drive the engineer teams to treat the design anomalies detected on vehicles in the field or at the plant.
Proposes and requests yard holds and campaigns, initialize the request for yard hold if necessary and fills in the corresponding items need to execute the retrofit/rework (i.e. spare parts)
Ensure quality deliverables are met on modifications done for the vehicle(s) in mass production
Organizes and manages root cause analysis for anomalies detected during development and start of mass production
Ensure quality advice regarding proposed technical modifications (PEPP)
Manages the follow-up of the results (product/process including APQP) and sets up the preventive and corrective actions necessary to the respect of quality deliverables
Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams
Drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
8 years of automotive experience, preferably some in plant quality environment
Broad quality knowledge
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to all levels of management
Excellent relationship building skills with ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
Ability to productively manage change
Strong program management and team leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Program lifecycle experience
Experience in resident/quality engineering
Experience in various BICEEP disciplines
