You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop complex system products involving multiple materials and processes
Designing and engineering architectural solutions such as glass walls, solid walls, and screens
Applying mechanical engineering principles and material science knowledge to product development
Creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
Managing and prioritizing multiple ongoing projects to meet deadlines
Prototyping and testing concepts using various methods to validate design decisions
Building strong connections by seeking input and fostering open dialogue across departments
Demonstrating curiosity and exploring new perspectives to solve tough problems
Driving initiatives to successful completion with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
Pursuing answers with persistence and creativity, believing that solutions always exist
Showing a genuine passion for creating and innovating
Exploring new ideas, places, and approaches both inside and outside of work
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3+ years of work experience in product development within an engineering discipline
Experience creating and defining performance requirements on engineering drawings
Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and knowledge of material science, manufacturing processes, and tools in product engineering
Strong understanding of tolerance analysis

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
