Brookens Pumpkin Farm in Shepherd is hiring pumpkin pickers to start soon!
$15.00 per hour
$1 per hour bonus opportunity
Shifts available: 12:30 pm start or 4:00 pm start (ideal for after school/work)
Pumpkin pickers responsibilities:
- Cut stems of pumpkins as long as possible with shears
- Wipe dirt and mud off the pumpkins
- Lift pumpkins weighing up to approximately 75 lbs. up on to trailers and or place pumpkins in boxes
- Stack pumpkins on trailers or placed in boxes with stems tured to minimize damage to stems
Additional Info:
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- No pets allowed
- Personal cell phones must be turned off
- No profanity
- No horseplay
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Dress Code:
- Shoes required - No sandals - Leather shoes preferred
- Long pants required - No shorts
- No halter tops - Long sleeves preferred
- Gloves are required - Gloves are provided
Working conditions:
Work fields have weeds that have pollen, bees, mice and pumpkin vines, which can cause skin to itch and be irritated. Often times the fields are muddy. Working conditions can be hot, cold, rain and also snow.
