Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
The Welder and Fabricator is responsible for assembling and constructing metal products according to customer specifications. This position operates from Monday to Friday, 5am - 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate fabricating machines including drill presses, rolls, welders, plasma cutters, grinders, torches, and band saws.
Read and interpret blueprints to determine job specifications.
Position, align, fit, and weld parts according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Design and construct templates and fixtures.
Measure work for conformance to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and rulers.
MIG/TIG weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
Move parts/material manually or by using a hoist or crane.
Verify dimensions and product specifications for Quality Control purposes.
Complete necessary training and certification to operate hi-lo equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with MIG/TIG welding techniques and processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
Strong math skills and expertise with quality measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and protractors.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet scheduled daily goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
Ability to stand throughout the entire shift with frequent bending and twisting.
Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally.
Hi-lo certification may be needed to perform job duties and requires a valid driver's license.

Work Environment
The work environment requires steel-toed boots/shoes, jeans that aren't too holey, baggy, or saggy, and a dark T-shirt with nothing too graphic. Shorts and tank tops are not permitted.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
