IDR is seeking a AWS Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Lansing, MI. In this role, you will help deliver cloud-native, AI-powered solutions for a large public-sector environment, leveraging modern Generative AI capabilities and AWS services. This is an exciting chance to build scalable applications that support mission-critical programs within a highly visible initiative.
Position Overview for the AWS Developer:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native AI applications leveraging AWS services and modern Generative AI technologies
- Build AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and prompt engineering with structured outputs
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and evaluate LLM performance to improve quality and reliability
- Develop and maintain Python-based services and REST APIs using FastAPI for AI-enabled applications
- Configure and enhance Amazon Connect contact flows and integrate AI capabilities to support customer engagement solutions
Requirements for the AWS Developer:
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications in AWS environments
- Strong Python development skills, including RESTful API design and FastAPI
- Experience with Generative AI, including LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and structured outputs
- Proven experience designing and implementing RAG solutions and evaluating LLM performance
- Practical experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate, OpenSearch, and AWS Bedrock (plus Amazon Connect experience preferred)
