Responsible for selling Freudenberg's and Dichtomatik's complete portfolio of products, which includes but is not limited to rotary shaft seals, hydraulic/pneumatic seals, custom thermo-plastic shapes, O-rings, spliced rings, extruded cord, and custom molded rubber shapes to Specialty Sealing Distributors, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the region; selling Freudenberg's and Dichtomatik's complete product portfolio to existing OEM and distributor customers with the objective of annually improving market share at each customer; identifying and qualifying new OEM and FSD opportunities every month, and follow-up with visits to present the Freudenberg "message,"; identifying opportunities to capture business; developing relationships with the decision makers in various departments; visiting customers and prospects within his/her region approximately three to four days per week, which will usually require two to three overnights per week; communicating with customers regarding quotation requests, orders, quality issues, and information requests to appropriate personnel, including Inside Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Quality; utilize and apply knowledge of Materials Engineering, Quality Inspection, OEMs Direct Sales, Technical Sales, Project Management, Dimensional Analysis, Customer Management, O-rings/Hydraulic Seals, Specialty Sealing Distributors, FSD, and Rotary Shaft Seals to accomplish necessary tasks; cooperating with the Inside Sales Team assigned to the specific region; supporting the Authorized Sealing Distributors in his/her region by providing them with product literature, product training, sales tools, and pricing guidelines, in addition to traveling with their sales reps to help them win orders from their customers; confidently present the Freudenberg/Dichtomatik "message" to customer's management; participating in projects which involve their customers, such as developing new designs and structuring long-term blanket agreements; and maintaining documentation in CRM's company as required.
Location: Plymouth, Michigan and various unanticipated worksites throughout the US;
Salary: $107,433 per year;
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Sales Engineer, as a Center Zone EDS Coordinator, as a Quality Control Engineer, as a Center Zone Sales Coordinator, as a Territory Sales Manager, or in a related occupation;
