Turning Leaf Behavioral Health Services is hiring compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders.

This position will work at both Otsego and Allegan locations.

- Full-Time – 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- All Shifts on Weekends
What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Provide supervision and ensure the safety of residents.
- Assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- Support a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Encourage positive social interactions and healthy coping skills.
- Assist with medication administration (training provided if needed).
- Complete documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Build professional, respectful relationships with residents.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Compassionate, patient, and willing to learn
- Valid Michigan driver's license or State ID
Preferred (Not Required):
- Two or more years of direct care, healthcare, or human services experience
- CENA, Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), or related experience
- Medication administration experience
We welcome applicants who are new to direct care and are eager to learn. Paid training is provided.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:
- Michigan Long-Term Care Workforce Background Check
- Verification of education
- TB test (prior to hire)
- Post-offer healthcare screening, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
