Under the direction of the Associate Superintendent of Early Childhood Services or their designee, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Family Engagement Center Coordinator leads regional family engagement and early literacy initiatives serving Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties. The Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates, evidence-based strategies that strengthen partnerships among schools, families, and community organizations to support student success.
This position serves as a regional resource by promoting family engagement from birth through Grade 12, advancing early literacy and school readiness, increasing access to community resources, and fostering equitable educational opportunities across the tri-county area.
- Coordinate regional family engagement initiatives across Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties in collaboration with school districts, intermediate school districts, community organizations, and state partners.
- Facilitate district and school self-assessments to identify strengths, needs, and opportunities for improving family engagement practices, and support implementation of high-impact, research-based strategies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a regional work plan in collaboration with the MiFamily Engagement Leadership Team, Region 7 Steering Committee to ensure achievement of program goals and grant requirements.
