Good Kitchen is seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Kitchen Assistant / Job Coach to join our team.
This unique position combines hands-on work in a commercial kitchen with the opportunity to help individuals develop valuable employment, independent living, and workplace skills. What You’ll Do
As a Kitchen Assistant / Job Coach, you will:
- Assist with daily food preparation, baking, packaging, and kitchen production.
- Support the day-to-day operation of a busy commercial kitchen.
- Coach and encourage individuals as they learn kitchen, vocational, and workplace skills.
- Provide hands-on instruction, guidance, and positive reinforcement.
- Model professional workplace behaviors, teamwork, dependability, and effective communication.
- Teach and reinforce proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, portioning, and preparation of finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with Good Kitchen staff to maintain product quality and efficient workflow.
- Help create an inclusive environment where every individual has the opportunity to learn, contribute, and succeed.

- A genuine interest in helping individuals with diverse abilities develop skills and achieve greater independence.
- A positive, patient, and encouraging approach to working with others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependability and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Baking experience preferred.
- Previous commercial kitchen or food-service experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in job coaching, human services, education, or supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
