Summary of Position
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision aerospace tooling and machined components. This position reads engineering drawings, verifies part quality, and ensures products are manufactured safely, accurately, and within required specifications.

- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision tooling and components in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to produce parts within required tolerances.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits to support efficient production and quality workmanship.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, identify machining or quality issues, and assist in troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and production concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and quality procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules, quality expectations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining or a related field a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience required; aerospace tooling or precision manufacturing experience a plus.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment; experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machines a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Work Environment
The working conditions described below are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
- Primarily works in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise levels may occur within manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to industrial chemicals and shop materials may occur
- Travel between company locations or customer/vendor sites may be required
- May be required to work weekends to meet project schedules and business demands
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is required, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing areas. Safety eyewear is required, and safety shoes are strongly recommended when entering production areas.

- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and hear effectively.
- The employee frequently will stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires compliance with U.S. Export Control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet the applicable “U.S. Person” requirements as defined by ITAR.
