Preps surfaces and applies coats of paint, stains and other surface coatings to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures, using paint brushes, rollers, scrapers and heat sources.
Essential Functions:
- Preparing the surrounding area for painting: covering floors, light fixtures, furniture, etc.
- Must be able to caulk, cut, roll and stain.
- Prepare painting surfaces: scraping old paint, sanding, filling holes/cracks, washing walls (as required)
- Apply primer and topcoats to touch up various surfaces
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Responsible for following standard safety requirements, taking adequate precautions to protect equipment, and other items and maintain work area in clean and safe condition. Completes the thorough cleaning of brushes, rollers and spray equipment when job is finished
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team.
Compensation:
Pay is based on experience with opportunities for pay increases and job advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent High school or vocational school graduate
- 2 years painting experiece
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- Must wear painter whites
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
