Job Summary:
American Rheinmetall is seeking a parttime Simulation Engineer to develop simulation models of its manufacturing operations. These models will represent the operation's throughput, material movement, equipment requirements, space needs and labor planning.
Essential Functions:
Within Siemens Plant Simulation, build discrete event simulation models for various parts of the manufacturing or logistic process - Machine, Weld, Paint and General Assembly
Develop 3D models that simulate throughput capabilities, bottlenecks, buffer sizing, and material routing
Co-develop standards for discrete event simulation models including development of a library of simulation assets with properties and performance characteristics.

Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in simulation model development using Siemens Plant Simulation
5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with focus on applying discrete event simulation to enhance process efficiency
Structured problem solver with experience in discrete event simulation and experience working in manufacturing operations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel etc.
Education & Experience
2+ years of experience in simulation model development using Siemens Plant Simulation
5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with focus on applying discrete event simulation to enhance process efficiency
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology
