Job Title: General Labor Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable individual to join our team in a general labor role. The position requires handling and unloading metal automotive parts into machines, ensuring proper clamping, and conducting quality checks. The job is straightforward and involves part loading, with robots assisting in unloading and stacking.
Responsibilities
Lift and handle parts weighing between 20-45 lbs every 2-3 minutes.
Unload metal automotive parts into machines and ensure they are properly clamped.
Perform quality checks on products and place them in bins according to part number and labeling.
Work in a team-oriented environment to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
Experience with physical labor involving frequent lifting of 25-40 lbs.
Experience in manufacturing, parts washing, or machine operation.
Ability to perform quality checks and follow labeling procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in construction, farming, or landscaping is beneficial.
Candidates from lighter material backgrounds such as plastics may find the work challenging.

Work Environment
The work environment is a loud and busy manufacturing setting where metal machining is conducted. The facility is well-lit, and tasks involve lifting parts from waist height or knee height to waist height. The position requires working a lot of Saturdays with occasional double-time pay on Sundays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Huron, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
