The Service Technician is responsible for on-site diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to windows, doors, and other products. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.
Responsibilities
Conduct on-site diagnostics and repairs for windows and doors.
Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve installation issues.
Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.
Use technology, such as an iPad, to complete work orders and take notes per visit.
Essential Skills
Experience with window installation.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Customer service experience with a focus on customer-facing roles.
Proficiency with technology, especially using an iPad.
Good driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Carpentry and finish carpentry skills.
Experience with hand and power tools, such as nail guns, staple guns, hammers, and saws.
Ability to calculate measurements in feet and inches, as well as other units.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions.

Work Environment
Work primarily during the day shift from 7am to as late as 6pm, Monday to Friday, with little to no Saturdays. Begin your day by gathering tools at the shop and travel primarily within Western Michigan, with occasional trips to Lansing or Northern Michigan. Expect to work both indoors and outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. Enjoy working independently, handling 4 to 6 assignments per day, with no emergency on-call duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
