Position Overview
The Program Coordinator/Certified Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical, peer-based recovery support services to individuals impacted by substance use, host pro-social events, and host multiple pathway recovery meetings. Services are grounded in lived experience, recovery-oriented principles, and multiple pathways to recovery. This role supports daily operations of the Recovery Community Center and implementation of community-based recovery initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide individual peer recovery coaching through scheduled appointments and walk-in support.
- Facilitate peer-led recovery support groups, workshops, and educational sessions.
- Host pro-social recovery-oriented events for the recovery community.
- Support operation of the Recovery Community Center, including welcoming participants and maintaining a recovery-supportive environment.
- Assist with implementation of community recovery initiatives, as assigned.
- Support CRA’s future hospital-based coaching initiative efforts, including participation in on-call rotations as needed.
- Work a minimum of one evening shift per week to support evening recovery meetings, hospital coverage, and/or evening Center hours.
- Document services, contacts, and activities accurately in the Recovery Data Project (RDP) or other required data systems.
- Coordinate with community partners to support referrals to recovery-supportive resources.
- Participate in required trainings to maintain peer recovery coach credentials.
