WAREHOUSE & PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE — 1ST SHIFT

ABOUT US — AND WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
We are an automotive parts manufacturer from Spain with more than 30 years in the business, and we are launching our brand-new operation right here in Troy, Michigan. That means we are building this team from day one. You would not be slotting into a warehouse that has run the same way for twenty years — you would be helping to set it up, shape how it flows, and grow with it as production scales. If you take pride in a clean, well-run dock and want your work to genuinely matter, we would love to meet you.
SHIFT
1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime may be required as production volume increases.
ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse / dock | Cold storage (35-40°F) | Fast-paced | Lifting up to 50 lbs
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Load and unload trucks at the grade-level dock using a sit-down or stand-up forklift.
- Transfer materials in and out of the cold room, following strict time-and-temperature exposure protocols.
- Palletize, stretch-wrap, and label finished goods for outbound shipment.
- Keep warehouse aisles and floor areas clean and organized; support production operators as needed.
- Overtime may be required as production volume increases.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current OSHA-compliant forklift certification — required on day one
- Ability to work in cold environments (35-40°F) for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with RF scanners or WMS software
- Living in or near Troy or the surrounding Metro Detroit area — a short commute makes a 7:00 AM start a lot easier
- Reliable personal transportation to get to and from the Troy facility consistently
Forklift certification must be current and valid. Site-specific recertification will be provided per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178; candidates without prior certification will not be considered.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting pay: $20 - $24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Medical, dental and vision: company contributes approximately 70-80% of the premium
- 401(k) retirement plan: with company contribution
- Paid time off: 10 days of paid vacation, plus 8 paid federal holidays
- Direct deposit: weekly or bi-weekly
Benefits eligibility begins after an initial waiting period.
