Job Summary
Join our COA team as a Part-Time Dishwasher on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-2pm, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and welcoming
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes in accordance with safety guidelines
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment for all staff
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly
- Excellent attention to detail when following cleaning procedures and food handling protocols
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
