Responsible for evaluating manufacturing operations to determine maintenance control system continuous improvements initiatives for automated machinery and equipment within the facility; review and interpret maintenance, servicing, electrical, automation and mechanical specifications to determine the feasibility and method of scheduling manufacturing operations, performance metrics and financial standards; inspect and test mechanical and automated machinery and equipment for optimum performance through scheduling maintenance support; examine manufacturing equipment and parts using precision instrumentation to determine continued serviceability or identify defects and need for replacement; prepare product and process feasibility studies and supporting documentation to meet customer specifications; design and implement complex manufacturing control processes and procedures to enhance production efficiencies and quality; develop new product tooling and maintenance programs for all critical equipment of the manufacturing facility and oversee testing of new process capabilities; determine factory layouts, workflow and complete assembly and installation of electrical, mechanical, automation and structural components and accessories; identify quality concerns and communicate with various departments within the facility, including engineering and senior management, to provide recommendations on improved processing methods; facilitate installation and alignment of repaired or replacement equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing efficiencies and alignment with customer requirements; utilize and apply knowledge of PFMEA, Kaizen, TPM, 5s, AutoCAD, ERP systems, Minitab, SolidWorks, Six Sigma methodologies, Lean-Manufacturing, layout optimization, and APQP to perform assigned tasks; verify manufacturing control systems, including preventative and corrective maintenance and tooling processes and procedures, are being followed within the facility; and prepare detailed reports for management regarding ongoing manufacturing performance capabilities and production scheduling, as well as document newly developed lean manufacturing processes.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree:in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as a Manufacturing Engineer, as a Process Engineer, as a Continuous Improvement Specialist, as a Launch Engineer, or in a related occupation;
