Our client, an industrial property management organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Facilities Support team supporting property maintenance and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Negaunee, MI
Pay Range: $18 - $25 per Hour
Shift: M-F 7AM-3PM with overtime available at times
What's the Job?
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, facilities, and systems to ensure optimal operation
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues efficiently
Maintain detailed records of work performed for future reference and compliance
Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, plow trucks, and forklifts
Assist with seasonal snow removal and other additional tasks as needed
What's Needed?
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and carpentry issues
Experience with equipment maintenance including small engines and industrial tools
Strong organizational skills for charting and documenting work
Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions
