Our client, an industry leader in tree care, recycling equipment and waste wood processing, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting the production and assembly teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Welder
Location: Winn, MI
Pay Range: Starting at $19.33 an hour
Shift:
1st shift 5 am to 1:30 pm, shift times can vary
What's the Job?
Weld and assemble metal parts to meet company standards
Assemble components using various tools and techniques
Become proficient in operating welding equipment required for the role
Explore ways to improve efficiency, speed, and quality of work
Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, scraping, and clean-up duties as needed
What's Needed?
A high school diploma or GED REQUIRED; additional welding training or certification is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of related welding experience
Must pass client weld test
Ability to perform basic math operations including fractions and decimals
Experience with welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW is preferred
Knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics, and measuring tools like tape measures and squares
