Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description
This role involves operating production machinery in a large, clean, and highly organized manufacturing facility. You will primarily run machines, with additional tasks that include packaging products and moving parts and boxes throughout the plant. The position requires flexibility to work across multiple shifts as the operation transitions from standard weekday schedules to rotating 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
Operate production machinery safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Perform basic machine adjustments, start-up, shutdown, and monitoring to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
Package finished products accurately, including labeling, boxing, and preparing items for storage or shipment.
Move parts, materials, and boxes throughout the plant, including between buildings and across different areas of the facility.
Follow all clean room protocols, including wearing required protective garments and maintaining a contamination-free environment.
Adhere to 5S and related workplace organization practices to keep work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
Comply with all safety, PPE, and environmental requirements, including proper use of protective equipment.
Support production goals by maintaining steady workflow, minimizing downtime, and promptly reporting issues to supervision.
Participate in training and cross-training to perform various tasks within the department as needed.
Maintain accurate counts and handle materials carefully to reduce waste and prevent damage.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
A minimum tenure of 6 months at each previous job, demonstrating stability and reliability.
Recent employment history without gaps longer than 30 days.
Ability and willingness to work flexibly across 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and future rotating 12-hour shifts.
Comfort working in a production and general labor environment, including machine operation and material handling.
Ability to follow safety rules and wear required PPE in a clean room and manufacturing setting.
Physical ability to walk frequently throughout a large facility and handle boxes and parts as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in standard machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting.
Familiarity with clean room procedures and protocols.
Comfort working in a highly structured environment that emphasizes 5S and continuous improvement.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willingness to participate in additional training and educational programs supported by the employer.

Work Environment
The facility is very large, requiring frequent walking between buildings and across different areas of the plant. The department operates as a clean room, where employees wear specialized garments and beard nets if applicable, and follow strict cleanliness and contamination control procedures. The environment is meticulously clean, temperature controlled, and brightly lit, supporting comfort and visibility throughout the shift. The organization strongly emphasizes 5S and related workplace organization practices. Work schedules begin with training on a first shift (approximately 6:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays), then transition to 2nd and 3rd shifts, and ultimately move to rotating 12-hour day or night shifts. Personal protective equipment is required, and employees are expected to comply with all safety and environmental guidelines while maintaining the clean room dress code.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
