The Information Technology System and Integration Administrator is part of a team which is responsible for the College campus server infrastructures. Responsibilities include ensuring the servers, peripherals, and software are on-line and available to the user as required; working with vendors to research emerging technologies and diagnose and resolve server problems; automating server tasks; utilizing multiple tools to monitor the servers to ensure optimum performance and to assist in troubleshooting issues; working with faculty, staff, and students in the integration, maintenance, and problem resolution of servers; maintaining documentation and database information of VMware and associated servers; and assisting in the preparation and evaluation of bid specifications for server hardware and software, as directed by the Manager of IT Infrastructure. This position is responsible for the installation, management, and support of applications, servers, systems, integrations, and monitoring of various enterprise level systems including server, and VMware related systems. Responsibilities include application systems, technical administration, including support of systems hardware and software management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information technology, or related field, and three years of experience in server management and hypervisor virtual server deployments. Work experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
