Plasma Spray Technician (Direct Hire)

Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Plasma Spray Technician to join their team in a direct-hire opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with plasma spray experience or a mechanically inclined individual who is eager to learn a specialized trade in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate plasma spray equipment to apply coatings that meet engineering and customer specifications.
Mask and grit blast components to prepare surfaces for coating.
Interpret work orders, engine manuals, blueprints, and technical documents to determine proper processing requirements.
Adjust spray flow, speed, and other operating parameters to ensure high-quality coating application.
Partner with Engineering to develop plasma spray programs, establish process parameters, and support new product development.
Assist with tooling improvements and process enhancements.
Ensure proper fixtures, tools, and materials are available to meet production schedules.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of plasma spray experience preferred; aerospace experience is a plus.
Experience with robotic plasma spray systems, including Sulzer Metco MultiCoat Spray Systems and ABB 2400 Series Robots, is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
