We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and service-oriented Bar Server to join our hotel team. As a Bar Server, you will provide exceptional food and beverage service to hotel guests and local patrons while creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and return. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, and meals promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the food, beverage, beer, wine, and cocktail menus.
- Make recommendations and upsell menu items when appropriate.
- Ensure guests receive outstanding service throughout their visit.
- Verify guest identification and follow all alcohol service laws and responsible serving practices.
- Process payments accurately and balance checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining area, and service stations.
- Work collaboratively with bartenders, kitchen staff, and hotel team members to provide seamless service.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred; bar or hotel experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet state requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
