Main Purpose of Job:
To ensure that good quality parts are being manufactured that meet both customer and/or any other related specifications by using welding equipment, proper welding techniques, procedures, and company established practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operates assigned robot or spot welder.
Performs part quality inspection using various gages, quality tools, and visual inspection of welds for defects.
Completes all documentation as required, including but not limited to inspection forms, preventative maintenance forms, production sheets, job travelers, etc.
Adjusts welders based on defects identified during any inspection.
Performs operator required preventative maintenance checks.
Education & Experience:
Prefer high school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualification & Requirements:
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short written correspondence, and memos.
Able to write simple correspondence.
Understands basic math concepts, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Agility & Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This position may require maneuvering or lifting of equipment such as products, tools, gages or equipment.
The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk to hear. The employee is frequently is required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 LBS and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 LBS. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, an ability to adjust focus.
Attendance:
This is a full time position
We are a 4 days a week 10 hours a day operation with overtime needed frequently.
