Hospital Housekeeper
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hospital Housekeeper to join our environmental services team. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste and other regulated materials.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces following hospital infection control protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow the hospital's 10-step cleaning process to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience required; hospital or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
- Current TB skin test (or proof of negative TB screening) is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position .
Work Environment:
This position may involve exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and medical waste. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times. All infection prevention and safety protocols must be strictly followed.
