POSITION: CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD(S) - Part Time

At Paine Aquatic Center / Manistee Area Public Schools

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Available for early morning and daytime shifts on a part time basis to start.

Hours of operation:

Monday through Friday between 6:00am - 7:00pm

Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm

Sunday from 12:00pm-4:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pool patrons

- Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations

- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents

- Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary

- Conduct regular pool inspections to identify any hazards of

   maintenance needs

- Maintain a clean and organized pool area

- Provide excellent customer service to all pool patrons

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be a certified lifeguard with current CPR and First Aid

   certifications - Training provided

- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

- Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred, but not required
