6 Janitorial Supervisors –– needed for permanent, full-time employment.
Job Duties: Supervises janitorial staff and assists with custodial tasks to keep buildings, restrooms, decks, and public areas clean and orderly year-round. Job duties include: assign daily duties, train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety practices; inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met; inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts; issue supplies and equipment to staff; oversee and perform cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and disinfecting as needed; coordinate restroom cleaning, restocking, and trash removal; support exterior upkeep including snow removal, salting, and debris cleanup; report building maintenance issues to management; direct special projects such as green cleaning or deep cleaning assignments; recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency; and ensure compliance with company safety and sanitation policies while maintaining an organized work environment.
The employer will provide on-the-job training. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.
Requirements: Requires 24 months of janitorial experience. Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire. Various Worksites: Drive to and from the worksite/centralized location to job sites in Grand Traverse, Antrim, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties.
Wages/Terms: $26.72/hr., and $40.08/hr. for OT. 40 hours per week.
Available benefits include Paid sick time after 120 days.
