Job Title: General Laborer / Assembler Job Description
This role is a first-shift General Laborer / Assembler position in a clean, quiet production shop. You assemble racks for customers, handle finished products, and support general shop operations using basic hand tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble racks and related components according to production specifications and quality standards.
Shrink wrap finished products to prepare them for storage or shipment.
Use hand tools, including torque tools, hammers, screwdrivers, and drills, to assemble portions of racks and other products.
Remove stickers and labels from products as required for finishing and shipment.
Move materials from the production area to the saw area for further processing and finishing.
Measure parts accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct dimensions and fit.
Lift and move finished products, materials, and components, including items weighing up to 50 pounds, to the next production station.
Perform general shop duties to support daily production operations, including basic machine operation, general production tasks, and inspection activities.
Follow production metrics and meet established performance and quality targets.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop standards.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
Understanding of production metrics and the ability to work toward established performance goals.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately to measure parts and materials.
Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, including torque tools, hammers, screwdrivers, and drills.
Basic machine operation skills in a production setting.
General production and inspection experience.
Reliable attendance and ability to work the full first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfort working in a shop environment with production workflows.
Attention to detail when assembling products and inspecting finished work.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of general labor and assembly tasks.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean and quiet shop environment that is not too hot, providing a comfortable setting for production work. You work on a first-shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no Saturday shifts. The work involves general production and machine operation tasks, as well as inspection activities, using common hand tools such as torque tools, hammers, screwdrivers, and drills. You regularly handle materials and finished products, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and moving them between production and saw areas. Steel-toed boots or shoes are required as part of the dress code to support safety in the shop.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
