The Assembly Technician will help assemble Promethient products supporting volume production for customers in a variety of industries. Promethient is an equal opportunity employer offering exceptional benefits, paid time off and compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly of Promethient products
- Provide suggestions for product, process, tools and facilities improvements
- Ensures that all safety procedures are observed during laboratory and assembly work
- Ability and willingness to work overtime to support production deadlines
Required or Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Possess strong hands-on mechanical skills
- Ability to operate manual and semi-automated tools
- Self-discipline to work independently and with other teammates
- Ability to follow computerized and verbal work instructions and perform basic production data entry
- Exhibit exceptional work habits, interpersonal skills and team orientation
- Exhibit familiarity with proper lab safety procedures
- Exhibit attention to detail with focus on product quality and continuous improvement principles
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical or electronics assembly experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing manual assembly procedures
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform precision assembly operations involving the use of fixtures, clamping mechanisms, spring insertion tools and wire crimping machines.
- Ability to lift a 50-pound box of finished products to a height of 5 feet.
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred
