Job Profile Summary
The Manager, Business Consultant supports process improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the organization. This role applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies, facilitates improvement events, and partners with stakeholders to analyze, redesign, and enhance business processes. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with experience in process mapping, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required)
Demonstrated hands-on application of Lean / Six Sigma tools to support process improvement initiatives
Process Improvement & Mapping
Experience supporting or leading process improvement efforts within a business or operational function
Proficiency in process mapping (e.g., SIPOC, swimlane diagrams, Value Stream Mapping)
Ability to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
Event Facilitation
Experience participating in and/or facilitating Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), or workshops
Ability to support structured sessions, capture outputs, and help drive follow-through on actions
Problem Solving & Analytics
Working knowledge of DMAIC or similar structured problem-solving methodologies
Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and support insights-driven recommendations
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar
Stakeholder Collaboration
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across teams and functions
Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to business partners
Experience working in a matrixed environment
Ability to manage and support multiple initiatives or workstreams
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and timelinesExperience supporting implementation and sustainment of process changes
2+ years of experience in business consulting, professional improvement, operations, or related roles
Demonstrated ability to contribute to measurable improvements (efficiency, cost, quality, or experience)
Exposure to change management practices

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
