Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description
The Robot Weld Machine Operator is responsible for producing Chevrolet Silverado exhaust systems. This involves loading sub-assembly components from a conveyor into a robotic welding machine, operating the equipment, and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Load sub-assembly parts from a conveyor into the robotic weld machine, maintaining an 80-second load cycle.
Start and monitor the robotic welding process, which completes the weld in approximately 30 seconds.
Verify that completed parts pass automated quality testing and barcode engraving processes.
Inspect finished products for weld quality and identify defects.
Route defective parts to the weld repair station for corrective welding.
Safely remove and rack completed exhaust systems.
Manually lift and place exhaust systems weighing up to 50 lbs when lift-assist equipment is unavailable or when operating older equipment.
Maintain production rates while adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
Essential Skills
3 years of machine operating experience
Experience with general production, machine operation, and general labor
Ability to perform inspection and maintain production standards
Capability to stand up to 9 hours a day

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
