Dispatcher / Transportation Coordinator
Location: Trenton, MI
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher / Transportation Coordinator to join our growing team in Trenton, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily freight movement, supporting drivers, communicating with customers, and ensuring on-time deliveries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with dispatching or transportation experience who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities
Assess customer needs and delivery timelines to ensure excellent service.
Learn and utilize the company's TMW dispatch system.
Monitor trailer and equipment tracking systems.
Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts.
Review and respond to incoming emails, orders, and customer communications.
Monitor shipper web portals for load opportunities and updates.
Create and manage loads within the dispatch system.
Share dispatch responsibilities and collaborate with team members.
Coordinate and manage daily delivery schedules for drivers.
Utilize map and route knowledge to support efficient freight movement.
Handle scheduling challenges and resolve transportation issues as they arise.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of dispatching, transportation, logistics, or related experience preferred.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of maps, routing, and transportation logistics.
Compensation & Benefits
